Hello, friends, I’m sending out letters to paid subscribers this week. If you are a paid subscriber, I’d like to send a personalized, hand drawn poem with your next quarter letter, so please send me a word you’d like me to center your poem around!

These poems written and drawn on cardstock and make cute bookmarks. Here are some I’ve made in the past:

They aren’t fancy and I’m no illustrator. But it is fun to make something tangible, pretty, and with you in mind. Once upon a time, not so very long ago, I made these for friends. I want to bring them back.

Before I start, I want to recommend the writings of my friend, Andrea ‘Angie’ Palmer, especially on the practice of (self-)reclamation. She introduced me to the concept of sankofa, which has shaped a lot of my personal growth over the past few years.
