Hello, friends, and welcome, new subscribers! My ADHD brain is a bit scattered and prone to change things last minute, but here in The Purple Vale you can count on reflections on folklore, fairy tales, and the seasons from my little corner of East Tennessee.

Next month I’m doing something a little different for paid subscribers, so read til the end to find out what it is. It’s fun, promise.

I published 2 books this year, plus 2 under my pen name. That is not something I ever thought I’d do, and not something I plan on doing again. It was a fun experiment. I’m really proud of these accomplishments, and glad it completed them!

And, as anticipated, the hustle and bustle of publishing (formatting, marketing, etc) reminded me that I want more space next year for just writing.

How many projects do I have going on? Well, there’s still the sequel to my first book baby, A Land of Light and Shadow. If I can, I want to send that rough draft to my editor for help sometime in the next 6 months. You know, before it turns five whole years old!
