Explaining my books badly
they're pretty weird, but so are you
Hi friends, a while back there was a trend on IG of explaining your books badly. Well, all of my books are all 50% off as ebooks for the month of July. If you want to read my attempts at explaining them badly (and humorously, I think), here ya go.
Also, if you’d like to purchase signed hard copies of these books directly from me, get some extra goodies with them, and support a struggling author, then read below!
A Land of Light and Shadow (MG fantasy): A princess has special powers: scrying and fighting magicians. Her cousin has special powers: eating and sneezing. We love them both.
The Wistful Wild (fairy tale poetry anthology): nobody can agree on a single story. Also there are lots of them and sometimes they rhyme.
The Secret Heart of Maeve MacGowan (YA fantasy for fans of Irish mythology, the Maiden’s Arc, and escaping cults): a branch breaks and everyone freaks out. Also, who put hallucinogens in the fire?
Double Alchemy (closed-door romantic fantasy with a hint of spice): Chess’s bigger badder sister gets another sister in a whole lot of magical trouble (and somehow, love). A literal shadow who is not a daddy but worse (he’s the love and the trouble). (And no, this was not written with AI. Never AI for nothin.’)
Flower and Cloak (3 fairy tale retellings and 2 original short stories): Everyone is so confused about who they are. Except that they aren’t. Even dragons and crones have to find themselves. Also soldiers with a heart condition, an ex-princess, and a wicked little girl in a red cloak.
So, if these books sound like your kind of weird, then get them for 50% off here.

Speaking of zines…
I’m sending out July’s zines soon! These are going to be a little different. I wanted to add a collage to the backside of the page. Here’s a sneak peek at the collage, which also offers a clue to this quarter’s theme:
Meet you over the orchard wall, friends.*
*One of my wonderful early readers for The Secret Heart of Maeve MacGowan started signing her emails like this. I like it.
Thanks for being here. My AuDHD brain is a bit scattered and prone to change things last minute, but here in The Purple Vale you can count on reflections on folklore, fairy tales, and the seasons from my little corner of East Tennessee–which is unceded Cherokee and Muscogee land.

Haha. Nice.
I am equally torn between snorting at your humor and drooling over how beautiful your covers are. So here I am, snorting and drooling. Snootling, if you will.
