Hello, friends, and welcome, new subscribers! My AuDHD brain is a bit scattered and prone to change things, but here in The Purple Vale you can count on reflections on folklore, fairy tales, and the seasons from my little corner of East Tennessee, the unceded land of Cherokee and Muskogee people.
Two love lists in one month?! I decided to end the year with December’s love list because 1) just because I want to, but also 2) I want to start sending my love lists at the end of the month rather than at the start of the new one.
Here at the end of 2024, I’m so grateful for you. There is so much writing and information clamoring for attention on the internet, so many places you could be. Thanks for joining me here in The Purple Vale.

I’m so excited to share plans for the new year in January, including my upcoming Beauty and the Beast course for writers & fairy tale lovers!
I’m taking a week off, so my first post of 2025 will go out to you on January 9th.
